Doug, a Californian, recently living in Virginia, worked through most of the 1980's and 90's in Massachusetts as an Internet engineer and service development manager at the portion of the former BBN organization that became GTE Internetworking and Genuity. In 1989, he completed a BA in computer science at Harvard, and in 2000, he completed an MBA at Suffolk University. In 2006, he wound down a career exploration sabbatical as an airline dispatcher at a regional airline to return to BBN.
